Celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary, Lisa and I had the good fortune to vacation in Costa Rica recently. We stayed in the northwestern part of the country called Guanacaste (Golden Coast). It is mostly arid, mountainous and rural. There are 2 great national parks there, Rincon de la Vieja and Palo Verde. I had a difficult time winnowing down the dozens of shots that I will cherish for years to come to the few I can share here. The last one is a photograph of bats sleeping on a tree. They arrange themselves and move around to emulate a snake to ward off predators.
