My AI assistant gave me a syllabus for a one-day photo exploration of Everglades National Park at the southernmost tip of Florida (other that the Keys). Get there before dawn, go here, then there, etc. When the light is terrible mid-day, do nothing. So, mid-day, i took out my infrared camera, ate a leisurely lunch and sat in my car for hours. This is supposed to be the peak season for wildlife there, but I saw not that much. Of course, it’s a swamp and it' is very flat. I did get close to a Piliated Woodpecker and a lots of vultures. Finally, my AI guy (and other photographers’ websites) told me i had to go to a certain place for the sunset, so I did walk the 1.8-mile trail to the spot, and it didn’t even face the west. Then, it rained, cleared up and I got the shot with the bird in the water. Oh, what we do for art.
